Brighton Headshot Photographer | Creative headshots with adventurer Clare
Clare reached out to me as her last professional portraits were taken more than 7 years ago! She’s about to move to Australia and needed some updated headshots for her LinkedIn profile - my headshot session is perfect for this.
The brief was easy, as Clare wasn’t sure yet if she was going to keep her current career in the sustainability and non profit sector, or change and move into something completely different. She wanted a mix of professional, formal images and more informal shots. She told me she’s “never stuffy or suity and it matters to have at least one shot that has a nature focus - sea or downs.” She used to live in Brighton and got married there as well. So we decided to take her headshots at Brighton beach, near the pier. Normally I would also include a bit more of the Brighton Pier in the background, but we didn’t want a recognisable landmark in any of the pictures as the images needed to be relatable in Australia.
We chose an absolute perfect day - we went out early in the morning, during low tide, and it was just so lovely to photograph at the beach on a warm sunny day! My headshot sessions are normally done outdoors, but when the weather is gorgeous, and we shoot at beach, it hardly ever feels like working! I don’t always choose the seafront for my business headshot sessions though. We can also go to the Downs, Preston Park, or if you’d prefer a more arty, street approach to your creative headshots, we can also head out to the Lanes where we can work with some colourful graffiti backgrounds for your portraits.
I’d love to hear from you if you’re thinking of updating your business headshots!
